PATTERN INFORMATION

A sure hit for the summer and fall, knitted in the softest Kid Silk. This cardigan is going to be the one sweater you grab from your closet time and time again!

The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece with domed shoulders and raised sleeves (puff sleeves). The fit is comfortable and with a classic cut that includes a positive ease of approx. 5 cm / 2” in relation to your chest measurement. The edges are worked in Alpaca Silk, which is a stronger, shinier and less elastic yarn than Kid Silk. The edges are worked on a smaller needle size, which gives the effect that the fabric worked in Kid Silk is gathered, which creates very neat edges that curve slightly inwards.

The cardigan is worked using the Contiguous/joined dome shoulders (for the yoke) and Magic Loop (for the sleeves). These techniques require experience with increases, but the pattern describes the yoke design in detail - row by row - and the Magic Loop technique can be used if you are acquainted with it, otherwise DPNs can be used instead.
